Patient Information

Consultation Fees:

We are fortunate enough to offer BULK BILLED medical consultations to patients who hold a valid Medicare card, however, some services do incur an out-of-pocket fee.

Out-of-Pocket Cost Services such as:

  • Private Patient Consultation Fees
  • Ear syringing
  • Iron Infusion
  • Flu Shot (unless eligible for government funded program)
  • Whooping Cough vaccination (unless pregnant)
  • Cosmetics
  • Excisions
  • Contraceptive Procedures such as Implanon/IUD insertions and removals
  • Private Medical Assessments, etc.
For out-of-pocket fees, please note they are not Medicare reclaimable, however, our lovely reception team can offer you a finalised invoice receipt stating the description and cost of your service after your consultation.

All out-of-pocket costs and privately billed patients must make a payment at the time of consultation. This can be paid by either cash or credit/debit card at the reception desk.

For any enquiries regarding these costs, please speak to our lovely staff at the front desk. We thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Booking Appropriate Appointment Times:

1 concern = A standard consultation (15 minutes in length)
2-3 concerns = A long consultation (30 minutes in length)
4 or more concerns = Calling reception and asking for an extended appointment (45 minutes in length)

If more than one family member wishes to be seen by the doctor, they will require a separate appointment.

Waiting times:

We do our best to adhere to appointment times, but by the nature of general practice this is not always possible. Occasionally, urgent problems may arise, needing to take priority over our scheduled bookings. Our reception staff will do their best to ensure that you are kept informed if you are likely to be kept waiting.

Recalls and Reminders:

In the event that your doctor receives a test result or communication that requires further discussion, you will be recalled for a follow up appointment. This will usually occur via telephone, or SMS if you have provided consent for this. It is important that all patients receive their test results/correspondence that has been received and your doctor will make specific arrangements to ensure this.

In addition, we keep a comprehensive record of reminders for preventive health care initiatives, including repeat blood tests, immunisations, health assessments and health screenings. Unless you request otherwise, you will receive a SMS, phone call or a written reminder for these initiatives and routine procedures when they are due.

Online Prescriptions and Referrals:

Our doctors can provide repeat prescriptions for medications previously prescribed and renew referrals for regular specialist visits via telehealth or online consultations. Pending our online service, both scripts and referrals can be requested by phoning the surgery or via our online booking service HotDoc.

Travel Vaccines:

We provide comprehensive travel medical consultations with advice on vaccinations, antimalarials, and other travel concerns like prevention of venous thrombosis. Some travel vaccinations may need to be ordered in and may need to be given up to six weeks apart, so plan your travel health visit at least two months before departure.

Patient Feedback and Complaints:

If you have a suggestion or concern, we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor, reception staff or to our practice manager.

We take your concerns, suggestions, and complaints very seriously. In any cases you feel we have not handled your complaint in an appropriate manner and wish someone to mediate on your behalf you can contact:
